Hike

Look forward to a varied and unforgettable bachelorette party with the bride and her best friends! Enjoy the time outdoors and experience nature together with the fluffy llamas that you will lead together. Even if you usually have little contact with animals: You will surely quickly take the peaceful and curious animals with big round eyes to your heart. Llamas are really easy to lead, as they are herd animals. This way, you will have plenty of time during the hike (and of course during the break) to chat and enjoy the day.

Your tour begins and ends directly below the ruins of the castle in Schönecken on the pasture of Eifelnomaden. After a brief, entertaining introduction where you get to know the llamas and learn how to lead such an animal, you will start your approximately three-hour hike into the nature reserve together with your guide.

The Schönecker Switzerland is a little-known but incredibly diverse nature reserve in the southern Eifel. It is characterized by deeply cut valleys with clear streams and wide high plateaus. Rare orchids bloom on the valley slopes, and slender junipers grow. By the way, it owes its name to the gentian, which grows here just like in the Alps. In the beech forests, the ground is a carpet of flowers with March cups and wild garlic in spring. In summer, the broom shines. Narrow hiking paths crisscross the area, where you rarely meet other people.

Right at the start we hike down into the valley of the Altburgbach. Orchard meadows and the slender silhouettes of the juniper bushes accompany us. Then we climb the mountain ridge "Op Ischt" and enjoy the wide views on the high plateau. Later, we enter the beech forest and arrive at a hidden clearing where we take a break of about half an hour. To avoid having to carry your snacks, our llamas wear pack saddles into which we have stowed all the food and drinks at the beginning. Here, you can feast and take as many photos of you and the llamas as you like.

Later, we reach the ancient Celtic refuge castle, which sits high on steep rocks above the Altburgbach. Then we need to descend into the valley again via a narrow path from the rock spur. Following the Altburgbach, we will reach our starting point again after about four hours. Back at the paddock, you will have to say goodbye to the llama boys.
