We welcome you at the entrance gate to the llama pasture, where our llamas and alpacas graze on a meadow orchard near the ruins of Schönecken Castle.
After a brief welcome, you will learn interesting facts about the life of the llamas: Where do the animals actually come from? How do you lead a llama or alpaca?
Then we go to the paddock together, where the llamas and alpacas are already waiting for us with curiosity. Here you will get to know our llamas better. The calm nature of the animals gives you plenty of time to do so. The llamas and alpacas are very patient and loving to handle.
We make our first attempts at leading them in the paddock.
Depending on the age and interests of the children and teenagers, we stay in the fenced pastures or go hiking in the nature reserve:
We set up an obstacle course for children up to the age of 12. We walk together with all the children from the paddock to the course and first complete the course together. The teams then start individually, with each child taking on the role of llama leader. The course includes, for example, a slalom and a low gate under which the llamas have to run. Do the llamas dare to go through a fluttering curtain? What about the small bridge? Will all the llamas stay on the narrow crossing? These tasks require both children to work as a team and help each other.
We take children and young people aged 12 and over on a hike in the nature reserve. Two children/young people each share a llama or alpaca. We adapt the route to the age and fitness level of the children.
After returning to the paddock, the animals are haltered and allowed to graze in the pasture. We end the day with a knowledge quiz, where the llama driver's license can be obtained at the end. Depending on the option chosen, we end the birthday by the campfire.
