Car-free Sunday
Between Olzheim and Waxweiler, this means on the first Sunday in September: car-free path for cyclists, skaters, and hikers, as well as numerous activities and attractions in the towns along the 27 km long route.
The starting signal for the car-free Sunday is at 10 a.m. in the two starting and finishing towns of Olzheim and Waxweiler. The beautiful route winds its way through the Prümtal via Willwerath, Hermespand, Prüm, Niederprüm, Watzerath, Pittenbach, Pronsfeld, Lünebach, Merlscheid, Kinzenburg, and Heilhausen - seen from the direction of Olzheim. From which starting point one wants to experience the Prümtal, of course, is up to everyone's choice and equally beautiful.
In the individual towns, a stop is definitely worthwhile. The municipalities and associations will once again provide a rich program around cycling and create a "festival atmosphere." There is also fun and entertainment for children. In some locations, there will be live performances, whether with rock, pop, or brass music. The food and drink stalls with hearty homemade Eifel delicacies will ensure that the pace of the participants does not become too high in any town.
The safety and smooth process will again be ensured by numerous fire departments, police, and the Red Cross.
The organizers are looking forward to many visitors everywhere.
