From family-friendly rides to mountain stages
Want to go cycling in the Prümer Land region? You can cycle along former railway lines through the Eifel countryside with almost no hills. The Eifel-Ardennes Cycle Route takes you all the way to St. Vith in Belgium. On the Prüm Cycle Route, you can explore the Prüm Valley. The Alfbach Valley also offers relaxing rides through diverse natural scenery, ideal for families.
Looking for more of a challenge? On a mountain bike, you can ride along forest trails, over hills, and through the region’s valleys. Road cyclists rack up the miles on long-distance bike paths—with long flat stretches, fast descents through valleys, and challenging mountain stages.
In the Southern Eifel, you’ll find cycling routes for every level. From leisurely family rides to athletic stages, there’s something for every type of cyclist.
The best moments are when people happen to run into each other at our café after a long time apart, when our regulars feel right at home, or when conversations spill over from one table to another.
The Prümer Land region offers two car-free event days each year: “Lustiges Prümtal” and “Nim(m)s Rad.” On these cycling adventure days, the roads are closed to motorists, and the routes are reserved for cyclists, inline skaters, and pedestrians.

A tour by e-bike or bicycle around the fountain town of Gerolstein, famous for its sparkling water, is full of adventure. Water, volcanism, craft tradition and thrillers are the themes that give the pleasant adrenaline kick.

The Eifel-Ardennes Cycle Route is particularly well-suited for families. The route follows old railway lines and therefore has few hills.
You can shorten the route as much as you like by taking a bike bus. The Nims Cycle Route is also a great choice for a family bike ride.
