Wandered past fascinating and alive - On the way together on a smuggler tour into the wild coffee years of the Eifel

Wilma Rüber, also known as tour guide Dorita Molter Frensch, takes the plunge. In the late 1940s, in the heart of Germany’s Wild West, she and her guests risk everything on a smugglers’ tour across the “green border” into Belgium. They’ve had enough of Muckefuck and Mokkatürk—they’re craving real black coffee. Will their plan succeed?
In a gripping and entertaining way, guests learn more about the lives of smugglers and border guards—their worries and hardships—during the guided tour. Their courage and cunning come alive again during the border hike from this side to the other.

Hike: 7 km, duration approx. 3.5 hours.
