Out and About on a Bike

From family tours to mountain stages

Want to go cycling in the Prümer Land region? You can cycle along former railroad tracks through the Eifel countryside with almost no hills. The Eifel-Ardennes Bike Trail takes you all the way to St. Vith in Belgium. On the Prüm Bike Trail, you can explore the Prüm Valley. The Alfbach Valley also offers leisurely rides through diverse natural scenery, ideal for families.

Looking for a bigger challenge? On a mountain bike, you can ride along forest trails, over hills, and through the region’s valleys. Road cyclists can rack up kilometers on long-distance bike paths—with long, flat stretches, fast descents through valleys, and challenging mountain stages.

In the Southern Eifel, you’ll find bike routes to suit every level. From leisurely family rides to athletic stages, there’s something for every type of cyclist.

The best moments are when people happen to run into each other at our café after a long time apart, when our regulars feel right at home, or when conversations spill over from one table to another.

Cycling Events

The Prümer Land region offers two car-free event days each year: “Lustiges Prümtal” and “Nim(m)s Rad.” On these cycling adventure days, the streets are closed to motorists, and the roads belong to cyclists, inline skaters, and pedestrians.
