Schönecken

Art in the countryside and among the people – the Cultural Circle Altes Amt Schönecken has been bringing international and regional artists to the Eifel under this guiding principle for over 30 years and displaying their works in historical public buildings and private spaces.


Exhibition - 33rd Schönecken Art Trail

In 2026, exhibitions will be held at the Altes Amt, the Burgkapelle, the Blaue Galerie, and the Thomé Weaving Mill.

On July 5, the Kulturkreis will open the second part of the Kunstparcours exhibition series for Kultursommer 26 at the Altes Amt in Schönecken at 2:00 p.m. with a vernissage featuring a lecture and music.
In her visual presentation, artist and cultural educator Jaqueline Beauducel will explain the numerous art forms of the Golden Twenties; Günther Jammermann will provide musical accompaniment on the accordion.
Afterward, visitors will have the opportunity to view the works of the exhibiting artists at the Altes Amt, the Alte Brennerei, the Burgkapelle, as well as at the Blaue Galerie and the Weberei Thome.

Among other works, a spider installation by Ms. Sabine Jacoks will be on display at the Alte Brennerei.

The exhibiting artists are: Meike Braß (RLP), Wolfgang Gärtner (SL), Roland Groteclaes (BE), Franz-Josef Kochs (NRW), Sonja Lefèvre-Burgdorf (RLP), Marie-Anne Raithel (NRW), Christine Santema (NRW), Frauke Seemann (NRW), and Maria Zalfen-Lenz (NRW)

Time: July 5, 2026 – 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; on all other days, tours by appointment
