Hike with the Eifelverein Prüm.

Hike

Drive from Prüm’s town hall square to the hiking parking lot on the L1 near Sevenig. The hike begins at the hiking parking lot on the L1 near Sevenig.
From there, the trail descends very steeply into the Our Valley to the tri-border area near Ouren (400-meter detour).

The route runs along the German side and follows the Our River southward through the forest. From Königslay, there’s a spectacular view of the Our Valley. At the high point, you cross the L1 before reaching the unspoiled Irsen Valley at the Seveniger Mill. An ascent through the village of Sevenig leads back up to the high point with sweeping views and finally to the starting point.

The hiking route is 10.3 km long, with 279 m of ascent and 253 m of descent. The route can be shortened if necessary.
Sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and hiking poles are recommended.

Note: In case of extreme heat, a shorter hike of about 5 km around Prüm will be offered as an alternative.
