Papierwerkstatt: Schöpfen, forschen, entdecken

In our creative upcycling workshop, we will explore together where paper comes from, why recycling is important, and how we can better protect forests . From old newspaper, we will create our own paper and turn it into individual postcards and small works of art.

Paper surrounds us constantly, but where does our paper actually come from? And how can we turn used paper back into new paper?
In this workshop, we will first embark on an exciting journey of paper around the world and together consider how we can better protect forests. We will explore how to create new, creative paper from old newspaper. Together we will learn the technique of papermaking and transform old paper with water, colors, flowers, and other materials into unique paper art pieces. From the handmade paper, we will then create creative postcards that can be painted, decorated, or written on. Imagination and creativity are required. The workshop shows how recycling can be really fun.

Participation is possible from the 5th grade onwards.
