What is it actually?
The picture book cinema has developed as a special form of reading aloud and storytelling. While the story from the book is read or told, the images are projected in large format onto a screen via iPad and projector.
The picture book has a special significance for child development. The stories and images in books help children cope with everyday experiences and open up a fascinating world of new experiences. The format of the picture book cinema introduces children to books in an exciting and playful way. The goal is, in the broadest sense, to motivate reading; imagination should be stimulated, and linguistic expression should be promoted.
