Church concert "Language of Angels" at St. Salvator Basilica in Prüm.

A concert evening featuring the Koblenz Chamber Choir, conducted by Thomas Sorger, church music consultant for the Diocese of Trier, with regional cantor Dayoung Kang at the organ.

The program is dedicated to angels and brings together selected works from the Renaissance to the present day—from Palestrina and Orlando di Lasso to Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Karl Jenkins, John Tavener, György Orbán, Alwin Michael Schronen, and Eric Whitacre. The sole exception is a piece that brings to life the alluring world of the demonic. A special highlight will be the organ solo “Es sungen drei Engel” by Axel Ruoff, composed in 2024 and now receiving its world premiere. Regional Cantor Dayoung Kang will accompany the KammerChor with her organ playing.
