October 3, 2026, three different routes (42km, 23km, or 7km) hiking sports for everyone.

Hiking Marathon - 42km/23km/7km on foot through the Prüm region.

Those seeking a challenge can opt for the marathon route of about 42 km. The demanding trail leads along babbling brooks, across wide meadows, and through deep forests, showcasing the beautiful landscape of the Prüm region. Staying power is essential! Refreshment stations with snacks are set up along the route, allowing participants to focus solely on the hiking marathon.

For those who want to be active but not tackle a marathon distance right away, the half-marathon route (23km) offers a great alternative. This trail leads through the Mehlenbach valley to Weinsfeld. From there, it’s just a short distance to the first refreshment station in Watzerath, where a lunch meal awaits. Beautiful panoramic views and gentle valleys quickly make the effort worthwhile. The route then ascends over Steinmehlen back to Kalvarienberg and returns to Prüm.

"We take everyone along" - the mini-marathon is the shortest of the three routes through the Prüm region. The 7km hike, with a fantastic view into the Mehlental, is the perfect hiking option for families with children and people with disabilities.

Bookable start times (all from the exhibition grounds in Prüm):

• Hiking Marathon 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.,
• Half-Marathon 9:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.,
• Mini-Marathon 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Notes: 

Participation from 18 years for the Hiking Marathon and Half-Marathon

In the Mini-Marathon, children may participate without age restrictions when accompanied by parents.

The entry fee includes the following services:

• Hiking materials
• Stamp card
• Water and fruit at the refreshment stations
• Warm meal in the form of a hearty soup at the second refreshment station (Hiking Marathon), i.e., at the second refreshment station (Half-Marathon)
• Coffee and cake at the Mini-Marathon
• Participation certificate at the finish line
