Laurent Pierre 5-tet

In his current lineup, saxophonist Laurent PIERRE—known for his work with various Luxembourgish bands, including the “Luxembourg Jazz Orchestra”—is joined by Melvin BURGER on trumpet. They are accompanied by one of Luxembourg’s most dynamic rhythm sections, consisting of Luca SALES on piano, Marc DEMUTH on bass, and Michel MOOTZ on drums. The quintet will perform mainly original compositions, as well as a selection of newly arranged jazz standards.

Ten years after its first concert (2011), the quintet is set to record its first CD, “TIME TO RELAX,” which will be released in 2022.

Since its founding, the group has performed concerts in Luxembourg as well as throughout the Greater Region.
