Lama & Alpaka Spaziergang (individuell)

eifelnomaden

10:00 AM

On this entertaining adventure, it’s just you, a llama or alpaca, and the guide. The roughly one-hour walk takes you along nature trails to the castle ruins, with no significant changes in elevation. To wrap things up, you’ll spend some extra time in the pasture, where you’ll meet our youngest alpaca, Tutun.

Hike

The alpacas and llamas from eifelnomaden graze in an orchard meadow right below Schönecken Castle. There, we’ll get to know the animals in a relaxed setting and learn how to lead these patient and curious creatures. Then our llama and alpaca walk begins in the “Schönecker Schweiz” nature reserve!

Our walk takes us around the “Rammenfeld” ridge. First, we walk along a paved path out of the village. Just past the last houses, we’re on a grassy nature trail, enjoying the sweeping view of the fields and meadows along the Burbach. Now we make our way across an orchard meadow above the Altburgbach. Here we take a short break and have time to take photos with the animals. Another highlight of our hike, a little further on, is the Schönecken castle ruins, whose two mighty towers rise high above Schönecken. Passing by the Wilhelmshöhe, we return to our pasture after our leisurely, roughly one-hour walk, which has no significant elevation changes.
Once we arrive, it’s time for grazing: We remove the animals’ halters and give them some delicious hay to eat. With a little luck, you’ll be able to continue petting the animals or even brush them a bit. Enjoy the peace and calm of the llamas and alpacas in their familiar surroundings!
