Cheerful, laid-back, and with great commitment, the Slaughterhouse Jazz Band has been entertaining its audience for over 30 years.


Concert

The band has been connected to the Jazz Initiative since the first Prümer Jazz Day in 1997. In the early years, the band primarily dedicated itself to classic New Orleans jazz and Dixieland. Meanwhile, many more advanced and well-known jazz standards have found their way into their program. Their music is characterized by lively, swinging rhythms with brass front and vocals. The joy of improvisation in the typical interplay of the soloists is also a well-known feature of their spontaneity and visible joy in playing. In December, the band includes German and international Christmas songs in their repertoire.
