Accessibility information

The Teufelsschlucht Nature Park Center in the Südeifel Nature Park—with its nature park museum, tourist information center, and bistro featuring a forest terrace—is the ideal starting point for tours through the rocky landscape surrounding the Teufelsschlucht.

The exhibition at the Nature Park Museum provides information on the formation, history, and unique features of the rocky landscape. The main topics are the geology of the sandstone rock landscape and the archaeology of the region. A tour of the museum is part of the informative and entertaining Devil’s Gorge audio tour, which is available for free in the “Lauschtour App” for your smartphone.

At the tourist information center , visitors can find out about hiking trails through the Teufelsschlucht and points of interest in the surrounding area.

The “Teufels Küche” bistro invites you to enjoy a snack or relax on the sun terrace. Groups can also book meals here.

For groups of all kinds—school classes, company outings, youth groups, families, or hiking groups—the Nature Park Center team organizes nature excursions, adventure programs, and active activities.

Hiking Trails: Three marked trails through the Devil’s Gorge, varying in length, begin and end at the Nature Park Center: the Small and Large Devil’s Gorge Loop Trails, as well as the “Devil’s Eight,” which connects the Devil’s Gorge and the Irreler Waterfalls. The “Felsenweg 6” premium hiking trail of the NaturWanderPark delux is also named after the Teufelsschlucht, and the Nature Park Center serves as a rest stop and place to refuel along the way.

House of Hunting: Attachedto the Nature Park Center is the House of Hunting, operated by the German Hunting Association, featuring exhibits on the history of hunting since the Stone Age as well as native wildlife species.

Dinosaurs and More: A privately operated apiary is locatedright next to the Nature Park Center. And just a few steps away, the large Teufelsschlucht Dinosaur Park invites visitors on a journey back in time through prehistory. A day trip combining a hike through Teufelsschlucht with a stop at the Nature Park Center and a visit to the Dinosaur Park is highly recommended—not just for families with children.
